The World Machine

The trailblazer remains a nomad, in search of the reason why. As the day awakens, so does the desire for the new—again and again and again. In the artistic epiphany of everyday catharsis: time, movement, the machine, and man.

In reference to the epic poem of the same name by Carlos Drummond de Andrade, “The World Machine” evokes the gears that drive the universe—closely tied to the creation of empathy toward others and the world itself.

The performance “The World Machine” is a production by Instituto Cultural CircoLar, made possible through the FMIC 001-2023 Movimenta Multilinguagem grant and the collaboration of students from the Instituto Cultural CircoLar’s Professional Capacitation Course. Its creation includes scenography, costumes, and training activities developed through the Somos Comunidade project.
